175 years as a club
To celebrate our 175th year as a club we have decided to run a family Tour to Sri Lanka. We hope it will be as popular as our very successful 150th tour to Barbados which saw 104 tourists.
Please note that this is just to get the conversations flowing and some alterations to the above itinerary is highly likely

Costs
Cannot accurately state costs at this time due to airline fees but the trip is looking to be roughly £1850pp and is 14 days over the school Easter holidays 2026. Flights will be cheaper for children bringing their costs down.
£100 pp deposit due between now and February 1st 2025, this is non refundable after this date.
Options to pay by DD monthly to cushion the costs, pay in segments or just pay the total nearer the date.

Funding
175 Raffle tickets - If you are signed up and sell 10 booklets, that will knock £40 off your tour.
175 Events - Profit split between those who purchase tickets.
175 Events - Organise an event and you will get 15% of the profits of that event knocked off your tour (15% would be split between organisers if more than 1)
All tour events will have the following image on their posters

Q. Do i need to be a member in order to attend tour.
A. We ask that all tourists (Over 18) are social members of the cricket club for the year of travel.
Q. Is this trip open to families?
A. Absolutely! We took over 100 people on our last tour alot of which were families.
Q. How do i organise an event?
A. Contact Becky at the club on 07761246809 to book the venue. Adverts can be sent to Tom Parkinson who will add them to the website and social media, he will also set up the digital ticket sales.
Q. Am i entitled to money off my trip if i do not attend the events?
A. If you purchase a ticket then you are entitiled to a share of the profit. If you do not purchase a ticket then you will not be inlcuded in the profit share.
Q. How can i knock money off my trip?

A. At the moment, those are just some of the options presented so that it can drive conversation. All activities in the final itinerary will be included in the cost. People can opt out of them if they wish or organise other activities themselves.
Q. How will we get to the airport?
A. A bus/ buses will collect us from the club on the morning of travel and drop us back when we return.
Q. How do i pay?
A. Bank details are mentioned above and you are able to pay in whatever way suites you best;

A. Yes, your £100 deposit is refundable up until February 2nd 2025
Q. Do individual tickets count towards my 10 booklet total?
A. No, for ease of tracking, only complete booklets will be counted towards your quota

- You can purchase tickets and attend any 175 tour events. 85% of the profit made at an event is divided by those who have bought tickets and knocked off their total.
- You can organise an event (indiviually or with a group). 15% of the profits made will come directly off your trip (or split between the organisers).
- If you have completed the expression of interrest above, then you can ask Tom Parkinson or the bar for 10 booklets for the 175 raffle. Once sold and £100 is received, £40 of that wil be knocked off your tour.
- 50% of all other 175 raffle tickets sold will be put into the tour pot which will be split between tourists or put towards the tour in other ways e.g. tour stash.
